The German manufacturer Audi had launched the Q5 with the diesel variant, and now finally comes with the petrol one this 28th June. The car was initially launched back in 2011 and the second generation model has come out in January of the running year. The car is assembled in the VW plant in Aurangabad.
The Q5 will draw power from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol TFSI motor which has the capability to produce 252hp and 370Nm of peak torque, which is same as the Audi Q7 40 TFSI. The four wheeler is equipped with a seven speed S-Tronic dual clutch automatic transmission system.
The car will also come equipped with Audi’s virtual cockpit and wireless smartphone connectivity compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Panoramic sunroof, electric leather seats, parking assist with rear camera and three zone climate control has also made its way to the petrol variant of the Audi. The company will also offer its Quattro all-wheel drive system. MLB Evo platform based automobile has reduced its weight by 100 kgs than the current model. Audi MMI system, navigation with incorporated Google Earth and the Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system will also be available.
The exterior designing includes single-frame grille, Matrix headlamps and sporty bonnet. The height and wheelbase have also seen an increased dimensional value. The boot space is 510 liters. the car rides on 18 inch alloy wheels.
The Q5 is expected to have a price tag of Rs. 64.62 lakhs. The probable competition of the Audi beauty is BMW X3 xDrive30i (Rs 56.9 lakh ex-showroom pan-India), the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Sport 4Matic (Rs 54.50 lakh ex-showroom Delhi) and the petrol-hybrid Lexus NX 300h (Rs 54.78 lakh to Rs 57.18 lakh ex-showroom pan-India). The company will also release its sedan A8 in the earlier half of 2019.
