Nissan has unveiled the 2020 Versa. The Versa, or Sunny as it is known in India, receives a much-needed makeover in the 2020 avatar. The entire sheet metal has been re-done and it has nothing similar to the outgoing model, except for maybe, the name. Upfront, the Versa gets the signature Nissan V Motion grill with dark chrome treatment, flanked by angular LED headlamps. The fog lamp units are regular halogens.
Usage of chrome at the front is limited to the V Motion grille, which is surrounded by the black grille insert that flows into the headlamps. There are two distinct power bulges on the bonnet that starts from the crest of the V motion grille and flows into the A-Pillar. It adds to the overall character of the car. There are character lines that run along the length of the car and merge into the tail lamps.
Nissan has managed to pull off a floating roof design and it looks pleasing with the Versa. Coming to the rear, we have a nice lip spoiler at the boot and faux splitter. They definitely add to the sporty appeal of the Versa. The tail lights feature a swept forward design and extend to the side of the bodywork. A nice work done there!
The interior is full of magic too. The range-topping trim has contrast stitching and a flat bottom steering wheel. The Tachometer and the MID housed in a 7-inch customizable screen whereas the speedo is an analog unit. Other features include Automatic climate control, heated seats and ORVM, Android Auto connectivity.
Safety setup includes Automatic Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, Blind spot warning, lane departure warning, and rear cross traffic alert. In all ways, the 2020 Nissan Versa is in a different league in comparison with the outgoing model.
