The 2018 Nissan Micra and the Micra Active hatchback have been launched in India by the Nissan. The ex showroom [Delhi] price of the 2018 Nissan Mirca starts from Rs 6.19 lakh while the Micra Active has been priced at Rs 5.03 lakh [ ex showroom – Delhi]. The 2018 Micra comes with a new spoiler and the ORVM integrated turn indicators. There is no more update or modification except the fore mentioned two features in terms of design. Similarly for the Micra Active hatchback there is no change in design except the ORVM integrated turn indicator and the rear spoiler. Therefore, the overall design of the new 2018 Micra and Micra Active remains same.
Both the 2018 Micra and the Micra Active gets equipped with more convenient safety features. Both the newly launched four – wheelers comes with dual air bags, driver seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors, speed – sensing doorlock and speed warning device as standard for all the variants. On the Nissan Connect mobile application will be offered with features like curfew alert, speed alert, nearby pit stops, locate my car, geo fencing and share my car location. The base variant missed out the anti braking system feature. The interior of the new car comes featured with a 6.2 inch infotainment system with MirrorLink.
The 2018 Micra comes equipped with a wide range of other notifying features like automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate control, steering mounted audio controls, keyless entry and height adjustable driver’s seat. The mechanics of the 2018 Micra remain unchanged. The 2018 Micra comes with the option of both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2 litre petrol engine churns out a power of 76 bhp and produces a peak torque of 104 Nm. On the other hand the 1.5 litre diesel motor develops a power of 63 bhp and a peak torque of 160 Nm. The engines get matted to a CVT gearbox or five speed manual gearbox. The Micra Active is powered to a 1.2 litre petrol engine producing 67 bhp power and 104 Nm torque. A five speed manual gearbox comes matted to it. In the Indian auto markets the new Micra and the Micra Active introduced with standard safety and other features competes with the Tata Tiago, the Honda Brio and the Maruti Suzuki Swift.
