Tata Motors is readying a slew of products to launch in the coming months. One among them is the facelifted Tata Nexon. A new spy picture has surfaced online that gives out more details of how the facelift will be. First among the noticeable change is the re-profiled front. The new Nexon, now follows the Impact Design 2.0 that debuted with the Harrier. The Front is now more sharp and angular in terms of design.
The entire headlamp cluster is a new unit, while projector headlamps will be on offer as well. The LED DRLs surrounding the headlamp have grown sharper as well. With the updated design, the old grille is now gone and in its place is what appears to be a two slat grille. The updated grille vents are expected to be available in different colors.
Tata is expected to add more features to the Nexon to fight the Compact SUV battle, where its competitors are well kitted. Case in point – The Hyundai Venue and the XUV 300. Ever since the XUV 300 and Venue entered the arena, Tata is struggling to maintain a monthly average of the Nexon. Hopefully the facelifted Nexon will help tata regain the lost numbers. Some new features we are likely to see are the Sunroof and rain-sensing wipers.
It is yet to be confirmed, but Tata might offer fully digital instrument cluster sourced from Bosch. The interior is very likely to get more updated and premium upholstery. Tata is very likely to offer soft-touch materials on the dashboard, a bigger touchscreen entertainment system to take on the competition. All the sheet metal changes and added features is likely to increase the price of the Nexon by a decent margin.
Apart from sheet metal changes, the Nexon will be offered with the BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines.
