Tata Motors has shared another new teaser video of the new Harrier SUV. The new teaser video reveals the Terrain Response feature including the multi driving modes. The latest teaser shows a dial system located on the centre console of the Harrier, which shows that the SUV will sport three driving modes – Road, Off – Road or Gravel and Rain. The dial is seen finished in piano black and chrome bezels. Along with that, the presence of the assist features has been noticed on the video. The new Tata Harrier SUV comes with Electronic Stability Program and Hill Descent Control.
The new Tata harrier SUV will feature a dual tone dashboard finished in grey and brown and a floating 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. Besides that the SUV will come equipped with LED DRLs, a JBL sound system, trapezoidal ac vents with silver bezels and silver door handles with leather wrapped grips. Earlier, Tata Motor had released a teaser video of the exterior as well as the cabin. Therefore, based on the glimpses of the teaser videos so far, the five – seater SUV will be similar to the concept form showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The New Tata Harrier SUV is powered by a 2.0 litre BSVI complaint engine dubbed as Kryotec 2.0. The engine churns out a power of 138 bhp and produces a peak torque of 320 Nm. A six speed manual transmission will come paired to the engine as standard. However, an automatic transmission option may be provided later. When launched, the Tata Harrier SUV will rival on the likes of the Hyundai Crete and Jeep Compass.
The new Tata Harrier SUV is based on the company’s OMEGA architecture, which is derived from the Jaguar land Rover’s D8 platform. The Tata Harrier is all set to make its global debut on December 2, 2018 and following its debut, the SUV will be launched in January, 2019. The upcoming Harrier SUV will be the brand’s flagship model positioned above the seven – seater Hexa in the product portfolio. The bookings of the upcoming Tata Harrier SUV have commenced. The dealerships are accepting the bookings for a token amount of Rs 30,000.
