A leaked video shows the new Suzuki Gixxer 155 with a brand new design in a showroom. The motorcycle is all set to launch very soon. We can also see the new Gixxer standing right next to the old one, this allows us to easily compare both of them.
The new Suzuki Gixxer gets a completely new LED headlight unit, which is the most prominent change up front. It also gets LED tail lamps on the rear. The fuel tank also gets a slight design update. The cowls extend further, giving it a bit more muscle. We can also observe the new split seats and pillion grab handles.
The motorcycle is expected to hit the showrooms in both mono tone and dual tone color schemes. Other speculations include a 12 liter fuel tank, 17″ alloys, and a white back light instead of the orange back light on the older model.
The motor on the new Gixxer will be the same as that on the 2019 fully faired Gixxer SF. This means it gets the 154.9cc, air cooled, single cylinder, SOHC, FI which can produce 14.1 PS power and 14 Nm torque. The engine will also be BS6 compliant. This motor is paired with a 5 speed transmission. The motorcycle will also feature single channel.
It is also expected to get a bump in its price. But it is still expected to remain under a lakh (ex showroom). It will compete against TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ V3.0, Bajaj Pulsar 160NS and Honda CB Hornet 160R.
