Back in 2017 Jeep launched the Compass and it was an excellent product, it still is but back then there was no Kia Seltos, MG Hector, or even the Tata Harrier. The competition kept increasing with time, while Jeep Compass was left as it is. Even after having the Compass, Jeep kinda lost the way (pun intended).
Now Jeep is working on a facelift for the Compass, and not only a minor one, a huge visual update. Gabetz Spy Unit has shared multiple images of the upcoming Jeep Compass. It is covered in camouflage but we can see some very interesting changes. The front looks completely different, the sleek headlamps look to be a LED unit, the bumper design is different and we can even spot the 7-slot grille.
The side profile shows the rather normal-looking alloy wheels, while the taillight also gets LED treatment and looks sleeker than the outgoing Compass. One of the images also gave us the sneak peek of the interior, which shows the new floating touchscreen. It appears to be bigger and will come with UConnect 5 connected features, and voice commands.
Compass has always come with a good set of engine options. So both the engine options might remain the same with slight changes in power and torque. The 1.4L turbo petrol comes with a 6-speed manual and DCT option while the 2.0L diesel gets a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed torque converter. In Europe, it gets a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine which makes up to 150hp. It also gets a hybrid option with a 50km range and power up to 240hp.
As for the launch timing of this Compass, it will come sometime next year in 2021. While till then we have to do with a minor facelift and special edition like this Night Eagle.
