The new Honda Brio is to be showcased the next month. This new generation Honda Brio will be unveiled globally at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, 2018 in Jakarta. This auto show is arranged to start on 2nd August, 2018. The Brio concept was unveiled at GIIAS in Indonesia last year.
Report says the new Honda Brio will adopt some sporty styling elements and features from the RS concept. The new Honda Brio has the same dimensions as the RS concept. The dimensions are 3610 x 1680 x 1500 cubic mm. It will be 30 – 40 kgs lighter for being built with light elements. Its kerb weight stands to 920 kgs. Besides that the next generation Honda Brio has a wheelbase of 2345 mm.
The details of the interior of the new generation Honda Brio is not yet revealed. It is expected to get equipped with a seven inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The seats are made more comfortable. It gets an upmarket dashboard as well. Besides that it takes into consideration the safety features as well. It gets featured with start and stop button with keyless entry and cruise control.
The new Honda Brio will get the option of both petrol and diesel engine. It gets powered a 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine. This engine churns out a power of 89 bhp and a peak torque of 109 Nm. On the other hand the 1.5 litre diesel engine develops a power of 100 PS and a torque of 200Nm. The engine gets matted to a five speed manual or CVT transmission.
The front gets a large grille in gloss piano black shade with the Honda Logo at the centre. Large projector headlamp with LED stripes is also provided to the front. It gets a slightly larger overhang tail gate indicating increase of boot space. Besides that it gets larger doors, new alloy wheels, greater luggage storage section as well.
The next generation Honda Brio will be made more spacious and wider. The new four – wheeler is expected to launch in India the next year. In India it is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 4.5 lakhs to Rs 7.5 lakhs. The Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Tiago will be its rival after its launch in our country.
