MG Motor India has already started the production of all-new Hector Plus. The new SUV is one of the most awaiting models in the Indian market. It is scheduled to be launched in July 2020. Before the launch, the company has increased the curiosity amongst its fans. The carmaker has listed the upcoming Hector Plus in its official website with many details. It is a three-row variant of the on-demand, Hector.
The move of the company suggests that they have already delivered the units to its dealerships in India. The fans are waiting for its launch since its debut on Auto Expo 2020. The vehicle was likely to reach the marker earlier, but the plan was postponed due to COVID-19 lockdown. The company has developed an SUV with amazing appearance and performance. It will be available in different variants as well.
The upcoming Hector Plus has received some exterior modifications compared to the standard version. The front looks bold and mesmerising with a smooth surface. It gets new chrome elements all over the grille highlighted with a bright blacked-out grille. It is equipped with new LED daytime running lamps which offer a stylish look to the premium SUV. It comes with new headlamp set up as well.
Moving to the rear section, the car gets new bumper along with a new rear tail lamp, improved skid plates and new elements. The cabin looks luxurious with new features. It gets tan faux leather upholstery along with tan boards. It features a new dash layout, 10.4-inch touchscreen, air vents, rear AC vents, connected car technology, adjustable headrests, and many more. It will be available with captain seats in the middle row, along with 6-seater or 7-seater arrangements.
The new Hector Plus will be offered in two engines: 1.5-litre turbocharged mild-hybrid petrol and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder oil-burner. The engine will oil-burner unit will deliver 170 PS power and 350 Nm torque, similar to the standard model Hector. The engines will be combined with the six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic for the mild-hybrid petrol unit. The price of the existing 5-seater Hector is priced from Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Hence, the premium model will get a price hike.
