MG Motors Maintains A Steady Pace - 3239 Units Of Hector Sold In November

MG Motors does not seem to be slowing down, in fact now its look like its maintaining a steady pace in sales. The initial launch hype has settled down and Hector is still managing decent numbers. MG Motors has sold 3239 units of Hector in the month of November 2019.

Last month, MG sold 3,536 units of Hector, which also includes festive season sales, 700 units of Hector were sold only on Dhanteras 2019. So after the festive season has gone, MG still is managing pretty decent numbers for the Hector. India’s first Internet car is the choice of 3k+ customers.

Addressing the sales figures Mr Rakesh Sidana, Director – Sales, MG Motor India, said, “The sustained momentum highlights how our debut offering in India continues to win the hearts of our customers. As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, we continue to work with our global and local component suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of the MG HECTOR. We are focused on expanding our service network to cater to the service needs of our customers. Most of the expansion in the next few months will be on dedicated service outlets. We are looking forward to the unveiling of India’s First Pure Electric Internet SUV – MG ZS EV on 5th December 2019.”

Being powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine which makes 170hp and 350Nm of peak torque. Hector also gets a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which makes 143hp of power and 250Nm of peak torque. Both of these are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Petrol motor also has an option for a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. And a 48-volt mild-hybrid system with 1.5-litre petrol.

MG Motor is also trying to focus on strengthening its dealer network with 250 centres in India by March 2020, currently, they have 150 centres in India. With a starting price of Rs 12.48 lakh (ex-showroom), it takes on rivalry with Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, XUV 500 and Jeep Compass. MG is doing great with the Hector and they are all set for the next product launch for India. Early this month we will see the launch of MG eZS Electric SUV, taking on the Hyundai Kona.
