As all the manufacturers are planning to go all electric in the coming years. Mercedes Benz isn’t far behind. Therefore a test mule of Mercedes Benz A-Class was spotted testing. The strangest thing about the test module was that it had no exhaust pipe anywhere. This straight out means that this A-Class could be featuring an Electric powertrain.

The pictures of the car resemble the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback. We could have doubted the spy shots to be of the AMG version but the no exhaust pipe tell another story. Furthermore, as the new A-Class is already launched there was no need to camouflage. But as seen in the pictures Mercedes might be onto something different. The person who put the video of the car on YouTube said the car was “quite silent”.

So Mercedes might electrify the A-Class to a fully electric vehicle. The test mule can also be for the EQA which Mercedes displayed in the Frankfurt Motor Show. It was all wheel drive with two electric motors. It would add up to the line of EQ. The lineup has a crossover EQC, and the flagship EQS.

As we know, Mercedes has plans to launch 10 fully electric cars by 2025. These are still very early test mules and will take time to come into production. Mercedes is making a flagship EQS sedan, and C-class is going electric too.

We can expect a lot more spy shots and concept reveal of electric cars from Mercedes in upcoming years. Seems like slowly more & more manufacturers are focusing on electric cars. As a result, we can expect electric cars to get cheaper and mass produced.
