The newly launched model looks wooing to the younger audience
Mercedes-Benz India today unveiled another all-new model: Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, which was first showcased in February 2020, at the Auto Expo. The model was supposed to be launched in 2020 only but due to pandemic the car was finally launched today on the Indian soil with great fervor. The newly launched model is a replacement for the first-gen Mercedes-Benz CLA, which was phased out from the Indian car market two years ago.
The Mercedes has done much to attract the youth and to the buyers, who want to join the Mercedes family, let us check the features of the newly launched model.
EXTERIOR STYLING: The model has a sporty look with a kneeled-down stance. The car has a bold front bumper and a front double-slat AMG grille. The back features include a LED tail lamps and a beautiful rear bumper with functional dual-exhaust tips. The bottom of the bumper looks like a diffuser.
INTERIOR: The interior is comfortably made to give a touch of a standard car. The model has a single pane digital dash with the touchscreen infotainment system with voice activation and connected vehicle technologies. The car has other features like a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats with memory function and a wireless phone charger.
WARRANTY OFFERED: The Company is offering 8 years warranty on engine and transmission with the A-Class Limousine.
BOOT SPACE: The boot space offered is between 390 litres and 405 litres depending on the powertrain a buyer chooses.
COLOUR OPTIONS – The Mercedes A-Class is being offered in five colours: Mohave Silver, Grey, Black, Blue and Indium Silver to its customers. The German Carmaker is offering Mercedes-AMG A 35 4 Matic in the special colour of Sun Yellow with special orders in limited numbers only.
ENGINE OPTIONS: The sedan is offered with two engine options: – a 1.3-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 161 bhp and has 250 Nm of torque. The diesel engine produces 147 bhp and has 320 Nm of peak torque.
LOCAL TOUCH: The Company has announced that the model will be locally manufactured in the plant near Pune. This makes the model as the second AMG model after the GLC 43 AMG to be assembled in CKD form in India.
DRIVING DYNAMICS: The newly launched model gets a retuned suspension as well as a more direct and dynamic steering rack to give wonderful driving experience.
RIDE EXPERIENCE: The car maker has nailed the perfection with the car can handle anything from potholes to dangerous roads with ease and comfort. These are just not claims, these are the facts that speak a volume as when the car was thrown on broken road, and it drove smoothly with no or less problem.
PRICE: The cost of Mercedes A-Class Limousine starts at ₹39.90 lakh for A 200, ₹40.90 lakh for A 200d and ₹56.24 lakh for the AMG A 35 (ex showroom prices)
