Maxxis India, part of Maxxis Group which is one of the world’s fastest growing tyre companies and the largest two-wheeler tyre manufacturer, announced a partnership with Lets Ryde. It’s a Delhi-based motorcycle rental and tour-adventure company.
Together with them, Maxxis Tyres announced Women in Front – Riders training academy for Women by Women – a unique initiative was recently kicked off as an association between Maxxis Tyres India & Lets Ryde, a Delhi based motorcycle rental & tour-adventure company.
Lets Ryde was established in 2015 by Mr Amit & Mr Kuldeep two core rider friends has been extremely successful in organizing theme based custom biking expeditions for riders across India & Overseas.
Mr Kuldeep & Mr Amit, co-founders of Lets Ryde said, “A motorcycle is a powerful symbol of freedom and individuality. We are committed to empowering Indian women to break the stereotype by being self-sufficient in riding a motorbike. For women to pursue their passion for riding motorcycles makes us hopeful that our country could finally be on its way to gender equality across different realms – this one being ruling the roads safely. While promoting the biking fraternity, we are bringing a well thought-out and planned riding program which is By the Women, For the Women in every sense.”
The lead trainer at the academy will be Mr Shahnawaz Karim, India’s only International instructor academy certified International adventure and enduro riding trainer based out of Delhi NCR. He has trained more than 100 riders from BMW Motorrad, Triumph, Royal Enfield, Kawasaki, Bajaj and KTM across India. He will be accompanied by Jaswinder Kaur, who is a solo/group rider. She has been riding since the last 12 years and has worked with brands like Ducati.
These pieces of training are wrapped in a 4-day workshop where women will be trained on:
1. Theory and Bike control
2. Track Practice
3. Changing tyres
4. Changing oil and filter techniques
5. Steps to be taken in emergency situations
Lastly, every trainee will go through milestones like their first breakfast ride, biking expedition to Manali, training on advanced biking techniques and an ultimate destination trip to Leh Ladakh (fully sponsored for top performers of each batch)!
Registrations for the program have already begun and the first match kicks off in January.
