The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AMT 2018 is all set to start deliveries by the end of May. The car has been spied during a TVC shoot. The dark orange dual tone exterior really suited it.
The Vitara Brezza AMT draws power from a 1.3 liter, 4 cylinder, turbo diesel engine making 88.8 bhp power at 4000 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1750 rpm. The 5 speed gearbox comes along with it which is of Auto Gear Shift mechanism. The present version of the car runs with a manual gearbox. The mileage is expected to be 24.3 kmpl, which makes it the most fuel efficient compact SUV in the country. Unfortunately, the car doesnt come with an petrol engine option but it is expected that the same will be released later this year. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AMT comes in 3 variant VDI, ZDI and ZDI+. The length of the compact SUV is 3995 mm, the width is 1790 mm and the height is 1640 mm. The wheelbase is 2500 mm. The car will obviously come with a “AGS-Auto Gear Shift” badge on the tailgate, like the other AMT models of Maruti, example, Dzire, Celario or WagonR.
The new safety features of the Vitara Brezza AMT includes introduction of ABS and Dual Airbags on all the models of the car, which was initially reserved for the LDI(O) and VDI(O) variants. Height adjustable front seat belts with force limiters and manual headlight leveling are the exclusive features for the higher spec models of the same. The top spec variants also get new exterior paint combinations with multi spoke black alloy wheels. The cosmetic updates that will be provided are new chrome grille as well as chrome boot garnish.
The biggest rival in the market will be the Tata Nexon AMT. But Nexon provides AMT only for its higher models whereas Maruti Vitara Brezza is providing AMT for its mid and high range models. This will enable the Maruti Suzuki to price their car cheaper than the Nexon diesel. Lets hope that the /maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Petrol comes out in the next half of the year to give competition to the Nexon Petrol variant.
