Under 10 Lakh, no matter what segment car you offer, leading that segment will always most probably be a Maruti Suzuki. Their widespread network, reliability, and sheer trust in the brand is the reason for this. So although when the compact SUV segment was stated by Ford Ecosport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has always been one of the top-selling ever since it came to the market.
Today Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has surpassed another big milestone, it has surpassed 5.5 lakh sales unit in a span of just 54 months. Even the switch from only Diesel to only Petrol could not stop the sales. In fact, even for September 2020 sales, Maruti Suzuki Brezza sold 9,153 units coming in second place after the newly launched Kia Sonet. All new Brezza has sold over 32,000 units in just 6 months, thus clearing out the idea of having a diesel engine with SUVs.
Launched in early 2019 with the national engine 1.3L Diesel mill, Brezza was an instant hit. But Maruti had to discontinue all diesel engines due to upcoming BS6 norms. So now the Vitara Brezza comes with a 1.5 Litre K-series BS6 petrol engine which makes 103 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4,400 pm. This petrol engine gives much better refinement over the diesel mill.
The All-New Brezza features New LED headlamp and DRLs, dual-tone paint schemes, and Smart Hybrid technology which helps in achieving better efficiency figures like 18.76 km/l for automatic and 17.03km/l for the manual. Maruti Suzuki seems very happy with petrol Brezza performing in good numbers that they keep on boasting about how good 1.5L NA engines as compared to other smaller petrol engines.
