The 2018 Swift Hatchback is here and the Maruti Suzuki has decided to add a few high spec trims in their line up. The petrol-AMT ZXI+ has been priced at Rs 7.76 lakh while the diesel-AMT ZDI+ costs Rs 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Z+ AMT version is some Rs. 50000 more than the manual ones, and Rs. 70000 more than the Z AMT.
The lower spec trims have received no mechanical updates as such, the Z+ has distinctive features which separates it from the other variants, like the dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels and LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and also the SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system (with navigation and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility), a reverse camera and automatic headlamps with a follow me home feature.

Accordingly, we are now offering AGS in the top-end ZXI+ and ZDI+ variants. This will further strengthen the brand Swift and enhance the popularity of Maruti Suzuki’s acclaimed two-pedal technology.” R.S. The Swift is still going to draw its power from the 1.2-litre, 4 cylinder petrol and 1.3-litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine. The petrol engine is capable of producing 81 bhp power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is capable of producing 74 bhp power and 190 Nm of torque. The engines are mated with 5 speed Auto Gear Shift (AGS) for the top end version. The mileage of the car is 28.4 kmpl. The sales number has reached 1 lakhs within 145 days of its launch.
