Solio MPV: Few months before, the brand new Suzuki Solio mini MPV was found in India, sans camouflage. Solio MPV is inspired by the Wagon-R compact hatch. The latest car is basically the premium edition of the model which is marketed in the Japanese, European and Australian showrooms. Globally, The model is available in the Kei-car variant and a 5 plus 2 mini MPV variant as well as it is a sub-4 meter concept. At present, the Indian automobile firm, Maruti Suzuki has not decided anything regarding the introduction of the Solio in the country, however, in January 2018, it was noticed in India.
If you are thinking that its seen first time, then you are wrong as it was first debuted in India at the 2012 Auto Expo. After that, the concept completely vanished, but reports are again in the air. Recently, Suzuki Solio was spotted in a test analysis in India which was reported by a Motoroids follower and enthusiastic, Rahul Singh. As said earlier, the Solio MPV is a premium hatchback concept and inspired by WagonR range. In the month of January, the model was spotted with brief illustrations in Haryana turnout intimates that it could come for testing and R&D targets. After that, all the enthusiastic were waiting for the car in 2018 Auto Expo, but it was not showcased.
However, it is still not known whether the automobile company is interested in the launch of Solio in India or not. Some past reports indicated that it might come in India as the company has tested the Solio many times in the country. We have to wait for the company to officially roll out the model. As the Solio MPV is WagonR’s, cousin it highlights wider dimensions compared to the previous variant. The bigger model of the car will provide more spacious cabin compared to the WagonR. The latest variant emphasizes a sliding back door which will help you to come out in an overcrowded parking area. You will notice a large chrome strip present at the back-door and blends in tail lights.
We have not received all the features of the car, although in future the car launches in the country, then the hatchback might be powered with an identical 1.0-litre K10 petrol engine like the WagonR. The engine will be capable of producing 67 bhp of peak power and 91 Nm of peak torque which will enhance the performance of the variant. Additionally, the engine can be combined with a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox transmission. If the company testing the car in India, then the might be thinking to introduce the hatchback as well. The car was absent in the 2018 Auto Expo so we can say that the launch of Maruti Suzuki Solio is still far away.
