The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift was earlier expected to lauch in the month of August but now its launch is postponed to the middle of September. The delay will help the dealers with the stock clearance of the current Ciaz sedan on sale, which are already on discount. Moreover a rival company of the manufacturer has also planned an event at the beginning of August. Because of this the launch event of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift is postponed to September.

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift will get headlamps and tail – lamps inserts along with lights running during daytime. Besides that it gets new alloy wheels, a wider grille similar to that of Ertiga MPV, a reprofiled bumper and hood. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift is likely to get a rounded front look as observed from the spy shots. Most importantly the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift will come equipped with all new instrument cluster with a multi-info display. The steering wheel and the dashboard remains unchanged. The new Ciaz gets a lighter shade of faux- wood and a little twist in the interior shade.

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be powered to a 1.5 litre petrol engine, which churns out a power of 104 bhp. The petrol engine will get smart hybrid technology similar to SHVS system. This SHVS system is available on the current Ciaz as well. The SHVS uses an ISG [integrated starter Generator] and gets equipped with start stop technology. The ISG performs the work of the starter motor while the start stop technology in use. Besides that ISG also does the function of the battery charger during braking. The four wheelers which are equipped with SHVS gets an electric boost through the EPA [Engine Power Assist] system. In that case the engine’s power at the time of acceleration is supplemented by the ISG, Integrated Starter Generator.

Maruti, the automobile manufacturing company is planning to introduce a 1.5 litre diesel engine in one of its four wheelers at later stage. Once launched the Maruti Ciaz facelift will rival with the Honda City, the Hyundai Verma and the Toyota Yaris.
