Maruti Suzuki Alto Reaches 40 Lakh Sales Milestone! in 20 Years

We have always been watching Maruti Suzuki Alto top the sales number in its segment. I don’t remember the last time I saw something else overtaking the Alto in sales number within the segment. Many cars showed up to have a share of pie like Renault Kwid, Datsun Redi-Go, but people always turned up to Alto, that is the sheer trust it has build over the last 20 years.

Today Maruti Suzuki Alto has crossed a never seen before number, total 40 Lakh cumulative sales. That’s a huge number and no other car has been able to come close to this. According to Maruti Suzuki, 76% of Alto customers are first time buyers. Launched way back in 2000 it has been continuously upgraded. Along with this Alto has also been a market leader from 16 consecutive years.
