The car has been on trade for more than two years and finally, its time to say goodbye to the old model. It is a great step of the company which will allow the model to compete with its current rivals in the market. The company has not stopped taking the bookings of the small SUV. You can still purchase the current-gen model from the Nexa showroom. To clear the stocks of the existing variant, the company has also offered huge discounts.

The modified Ignis is expected to get some major tweaks from the all-new Baleno. So, we can assume new bumpers, the latest alloy wheels and high-grade interiors features. It will be also equipped with Maruti Suzuki SmartPlay Studio infotainment system which was first introduced with Wagon R and carried to the facelifted Baleno. The low-specs variant will also get some features from Baleno as standard like the new LED projector headlamps.

The existing Maruti Suzuki Ignis is available in four variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It is powered by a 1.3L petrol powertrain which is combined with manual and AMT gearbox choice. The gasoline assembly is capable of producing 81.80bhp of power and 113Nm of peak torque. The low-specs (Sigma MT) of Ignis comes at Rs 4.66 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) whereas, the (Alpha AT) is available at Rs 7.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
