The blue just got darker! Maruti Ignis and Baleno to hit the road with a new colour, the “Nexa Blue”, which is offered in the Ciaz, in place of “Urban Blue”. Maruti has already stopped production of the older colour and is giving the option to the customers to choose the newer shade.
The Ignis has four variants, Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha out of which only base sigma variant doesn’t come in the urban blue colour. The same is the case for the Nexa Blue. The other available colours in the market are Pearl Arctic White, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver, Uptown Red, Tinsel Blue with a midnight black roof. Sometimes the tinsel blue variant comes with the option of having a pearl arctic white roof. Ignis is also available in three dual tone colour combinations but its availability is limited to Zeta and Alpha variants -Uptown Red and Tinsel Blue, with midnight black roof and pearl arctic white roof. The Baleno comes in the colour options such as Ray Blue, Premium Urban Blue, Granite Grey, Premium Silver, Fire Red, Pearl Arctic White, Autumn Orange.
Besides the Ignis, Maruti Baleno has also decided to take up the new colour, Nexa Blue, as the replacement of Urban Blue. The difference between Nexa and Urban is the presence of a tinge of purple in the former. The Ignis comes with chrome front grille, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, and the 10-spoke blacked out alloy wheels gives the car a stunning exterior.
The Maruti Ignis was launched back in 2017.It is powered by a 1.2 litre petrol or 1.3 litre diesel engine which produces a 82 bhp and 74 bhp with 113 Nm and 190 Nm torque ,respectively. The engines come with a five speed manual or AMT gearbox. Whereas the Baleno has a maximum power of 83 bhp at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 115 Nm at 4000 rpm. It comes with an automatic CVT gearbox. The Ignis has a starting price of Rs. 4.59 Lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) and the Maruti Baleno has a starting price of Rs. 7.2 Lakhs. The new colour will definitely add a new shade to both of their popularity.
