The images of the interior of the Mahindra Y400 SUV has been resealed online. The SUV is scheduled to hit the Indian roads by the end of this month prior to Diwali. Previously, Mahindra and Mahindra had set to launch the Y400 SUV on 8th October, 2018. However, the automaker will not further delay the launch of the Y400 SUV and has stated to launch the car by the end of this October. The Mahindra Y400 SUV is expected to be priced at an ex showroom [India] price of Rs 22 lakh. This new flagship SUV was first unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo and is placed above the XUV 500 in the company’s line up. The SUV is based on the second generation Ssangyong Rexton.

The interior images of the Mahindra Y400 SUV shows that the car sports the three spoke steering wheel with the Mahindra logo on it. Besides the interior features a large 9.2 inch touchscreen infotainment system which will be positioned on the centre of the dashboard. The dual tone dashboard comes with grey plastics on the top along with a brown lower section below along. The dashboard too sports wood trimmings near angular AC vents. The infotainment system on the Mahindra Y400 SUV supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Navigation as standard. Besides that the infotainment system will double up as a display for 360 degree camera. The instrument cluster of the Mahindra Y400 SUV sports a 7.0 inch digital screen fringed by a tachometer and speedometer. The images also shows that the doors and seats comes covered in leather.

Powering the Mahindra Y400 SUV is a four cylinder, 2.2 litre turbo diesel motor. This engine churns out a maximum power of 187 hp and produces a peak torque of 420 Nm. A seven speed automatic gearbox comes mated to the engine as revealed in the image. The seven speed automatic gearbox can be speculated accordingly to either send power to all the four wheels or send power only to the rear wheels. Once launched, the Mahindra Y400 SUV will compete on the likes of the Isuzu MU – X, the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner. With the launch of the Y400 SUV before the Diwali, Mahindra and Mahindra aims at enhancing their sales volume.
