Mahindra XUV500: After a long wait, Mahindra has finally officially revealed the XUV500 facelift. The diesel and petrol variant of the car will be available at INR 12.32 lakh and INR 15.43 lakh, respectively. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai. It is the latest SUV which will come in total five diesel versions including W5, W7, W9, and W11 (extra kit only on offer) and also a petrol version, G AT. The company has not given any modifications to the exterior design of the latest SUV XUV500 facelift. However, the cabin and the engine specifications are improved.
The latest facelift variant is outfitted with a latest front grille which is now wider than the earlier variant. You will notice a studded design along with chrome additions, edged by halogen projector headlights combined with horizontal LED daytime running lamps (DRL). The latest model is now outfitted with curved triangular taillight which was vertically heaped arrangement in the previous variant. The company has revised the tailgate along with few variations of the chrome encloses around the number plate. The side section of the car has received chrome band on the door trim.
Now about the cabin modifications, it has received tan-colored seats including quilted stitching. The dashboard is polished in black with tinted components and aluminum stroked enclosures on the center console, gear knob, and steering wheel. Some technical changes offered for the facelift that delivers 15hp power and 30Nm torque more than other models. It is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk engine which delivers 155hp of peak power and 360Nm of peak torque which is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. The company also offers a six-speed automatic transmission and an AWD system. The fuel efficiency is graded by ARAI-rated diesel powertrain at 15.4kpl.
The petrol engine will be combined with a six-speed automatic gearbox transmission which delivers 140hp of power and 320Nm of peak torque. It is equipped with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels for the top-spec version, whereas the mid-specs version comes with 17-inch wheels. In the cabin, the car has an infotainment system featuring GPS, USB, Bluetooth and also Arkamys sound system, so the tweeters are present on the A-pillars. Now, the Bluesense app will support smartwatch link. The vehicle will also come with extreme safety features such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP including rollover mitigation, hill hold, and hill descent control, and many more. The XUV500 facelift will lock horns against Hyundai Creta, Tata Hexa, and the Jeep Compass.
