Mahindra XUV 300 SUV Crosses 25,000th Unit Mark.

Mahindra XUV300 SUV has witnessed outstanding sales in the country with the 25000th unit being rolled out. Launched in February 2019, the XUV 300 has crossed the 25,000 unit mark in just few months. The sub-4 meter SUV is available in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8. The prices of the base variant starts at Rs 7.90 lakhs and reaching upto Rs 11.99 lakhs for the top of the end variant. The SUV is built based on the Ssangyong Tivoli.

Powering the sub 4 meter XUV 300 is a 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that delivers a power of 110 bhp at 5,000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 200 Nm at 2,000 rpm to 3,500 rpm on the other hand a 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel churns out a power of 115 bhp at 3,750 rpm and produces a peak torque of 300 Nm at 1,500 rpm to 2,500 rpm. A 6-speed manual gearbox is coupled to both the engines. However, the AMT version is set to arrive soon.

Mahindra and Mahindra is also working on the AMT version of the XUV300. The AMT variant will be priced slightly higher about Rs 20,000 to Rs50,000 than the XUV 300 with manual transmission. The bookings of the AMT variant have already begun at dealership levels ahead of its launch. The AMT version of the XUV 300 is scheduled to hit the roads by the end of this month. The AMT option will only be offered on the XUV 300 diesel variant. The 4 cylinder, 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine continues to deliver a power of 115 bhp and a peak torque of 300 Nm. A six speed Automated Manual Transmission [taken from Magneti Marelli] will come matted to the motor.

The top of the W6 and W8 variants of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV will exclusively get the AMT option. The “AutoShift” badge on it will make it stand out from the regular model. Together with that the features such as dual zone AC, sun roof, front parking sensors, heated mirrors will be offered. The safety equipments on the car include features like steering modes, hill hold assist and 7 airbags. When launched, the Mahindra XUV 300 AMT will compete on the likes of the Tata Nexon and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breeza.
