The facelifted version of Mahindra TUV300 has been spied at a dealership. It has received many exciting modifications and now it looks more dashing. The upcoming compact SUV is expected to be introduced in the month of May, in India. TUV300 is one of the popular models of Mahindra in the Indian market. The company will update the model to satisfy the BSVI rules which will come into impact on April 2020. The company has reported more than 4,000 unit sales in its first month, just after the official launch.
However, with the introduction of Maruti’s Brezza and Ertiga, the popularity of the Mahindra’s SUV noticed a shocking drop. Recently, Maruti was also declared as the largest SUV maker in India. We can say that TUV300 and KUV100 are the major reason for the sales drop as there are many other models like Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass, and Tata Nexon ruling the automotive market in the country. Hence, the idea of introducing the updated version of TUV300 can help the company to boost its sales.
According to the spied images, the most prominent change is noticed at the front fascia. It looks more striking and bold with the all-new glossy back grille highlighting chrome finish. The headlamps have received a smoked impact. The company has updated the bumpers as well which now comes with a glossy black finish. The front bumper is integrated with boxy fog lamps pods. Some of the elements have got dual-tone black and silver highlights.
Moving to the side portion, the company has offered a classy black finish on the B-pillars, black fender liners, door cladding, and roof rails. At the rear section, the car is integrated with new taillamps and clear-lens appearance. The spare wheel cover is now semi-exposed assembly and the alloy wheels are also updated. The overall exterior is pure white with black highlights. Previously, the red variant of the car was also spotted at the dealerships.
The interior of the SUV is also modified. Now, it will be available in a dual-tone cabin. It is integrated with a dual-tone black and beige dash with silver finish. The centre console is framed with an infotainment system along with a 5-inch display. Some other features include a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster. It will be powered by the same 1.5-litre mHawk 100 diesel engine which makes 100PS of power and 240 Nm of torque, combined with a five-speed manual or AMT.
