Mahindra is reportedly observing remarkable sales increase of Marazzo every month. If this continues, Mahindra Marazzo will soon become the most popular vehicle in the range. Compared to its rival Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Marazzo wins hearts of the fans which can be assumed by the impressive sales growth. Marazzo has registered sales of above 3,810 units in October, this year. On the other hand, the new Ertiga managed to sell only 1,387 units in the same month.
The company has introduced the MPV in the country a few months earlier and successfully attracted many customers with its good looks and superior features. Soon after the company commenced the bookings, Mahindra got more than 10,000 Marazzo bookings in a month. However, comparing the popularity of the SUV’s, Marazzo is beaten by other company’s vehicle like Scorpio (4,357 units) and Bolero (8,527 units). Although these are the old and trusted model of the company hence, Marazzo has to struggle a lot to take their spot.
The company stated that their expectations are high from the Marrazo and they aim to sell more than 7,000 units in this Fiscal Year. Overall, the sales figures, for now, is great so, the vehicle will definitely keep up the mark. The company has also added a new feature in the Mahindra Marazzo which is the Apple CarPlay support. This feature is based on the Android Auto and Marazzo is the leading Mahindra vehicle which comes equipped with Apple CarPlay.
The Marazzo MPV is powered by a single 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 121bhp max power and 300Nm of peak torque. The engine is combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. The company is also expected to introduce an AMT gearbox in future. Talking about its rival, Maruti Suzuki will soon launch a more modified Ertiga variant that will be developed in HEARTECT platform.
The upcoming Ertiga will draw power from a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine based on the company’s mild-hybrid technology that will generate 104bhp and 138Nm of torque. It will also come in a 1.3-litre diesel option making 89bhp and 200Nm of torque. Compared to Marrazo, the upcoming rival will be more pricey as it will be equipped with more high-end features.
The Mahindra Marazzo is available in four variants: M2, M4, M6 and M8. It also comes in two arrangements 7 and 8 seat variant. The 7 seater variants have received a price tag of Rs 9.99-13.90 lakhs whereas the top-specs, premium 8 seaters are available to purchase at Rs 10.04-12.45 lakhs.
