Mahindra Alturas G4 is scheduled to launch on 24th November, this year in India. The company has already commenced the bookings of the new model at a token amount of Rs 50,000. This new SUV will be the most expensive SUV in its range. It will be available at Rs 28 lakh, ex-showroom. The next Indian SUV of Mahindra will be based on the Ssangyong Rexton SUV concept, earlier debuted at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The company has tested the SUV on road several times that revealed most of the features and exterior detailing. Now, the company has officially unwrapped the SUV. According to the official Alturas G4 website, the SUV will be launched in two variant and five attractive shades. The variant will include 2WD (two-wheel-drive) and 4WD (four-wheel-drive) options and it will come in Drizzle Silver, Lake Side Brown, Napoli Black, New Pearl White and Regal Blue colours.
The company is expected to offer some remarkable feature in its upcoming SUV including touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity support. It will be equipped with many high-level safety features like hill descent control, nine airbags, hill start assist, ABS+EBD, traction control, rear AC vents and ESP and electronic stability programme. Although, these high-end features will be featured only in the top-spec variant.
However, the companies haven’t revealed all the features of the car. It will run on a 2.2-litre diesel powertrain which will be capable of generating 187 Bhp of power and 420 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a 7-speed torque converter automatic transmission based on the Mercedes-Benz. Mahindra will start delivering the bookings after 26th November. It will rival against the popularity of high-end SUV like Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq.
