Lamborghini Urus made its global debut in late 2017 and soon after that Lamborghini India unveiled the Urus in early 2018. On 10th October, 2018 after eight months of its debut in the country, the SSUV is delivered to a customer in Mumbai. The car cost him Rs 4.2 crore. The first Lamborghini Urus retailed in Mumbai looks resplendent in Rosso Anteros and the exterior is definitely red. The Lamborghini Urus SSUV [Super Sport Utility Vehicle] is the next SUV from the company after the LM 002.
The first Lamborghini Urus Rosso Anteros wears the ‘Style’ package, which includes gloss black exterior bits, red brake callipers and chrome finish quad exhausts. This particular Urus SSUV retailed at an ex showroom price of Rs 3.8 crore inclusive of the range of additional extras with an on road price of Rs 4.2 crore. The Lamborghini Urus zips from 0 kmph to 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds and 0 kmph to 200 kmph in 12.8 seconds. The SSUV takes 33.7 seconds to decelerate from 100 kmph to 0 kmph. A maximum speed of 305 kmph is attainable.
The exterior of the Urus SSUV features a distinctive Lamborghini design language as well as aerodynamically efficient for easy passage through air and providing optimum down-force. The interior comes with top quality leather and an option of four or five seats. Besides that the SUV features a fighter jet style flip switch between the gear selector to turn on and off the engine. Powering the Lamborghini Urus is a 4 litre twin turbo V8 engine. The engine is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 641 HP and a peak torque of 850 Nm, making it a one of the most powerful SUVs in the market. The Urus SSUV is offered with seven driving modes which are Strada, Corsa and Sport for the road on the other hand Terra, Neve and Sabbia for off road and the Ego mode which enables the driver to customise individual settings as per his or her own choice.
Lamborghini India has allotted only limited units of the Urus for the country and the customers who are booking now can expect the delivery of their car by 2019. The Urus SSUV carried an introductory price of Rs 3 crore [ex showroom] and now the car is priced at Rs 3.10 crore for the base variant [exclusive of additional options]. The addition of this range of options will cost another Rs 50 lakhs. Since the India market loves the huge SUVs from the manufacturer, Lamborghini aims to boost their sales with the Urus.
