The all new KTM Duke 125 has been spied in India for the first time. An automotive enthusiast, Aka Dukeist had spotted the bike on test in Telegaon Dhabhade area on the outskirts of Pune. The area where the bike was spied on test is near to Bajaj’s facility where the KTM Duke motorcycles were manufactured. Bajaj had reported just last month about its plan of launching the cheapest KTM Duke 125 in the country. Once launched in India, the Duke 125 will be placed below the Duke 200 in the company’s line up. The kTM Duke 125 is going to be the cheapest offering of KTM and when launched the bike is likely to be priced starting at Rs 1.2 lakh.

The motorcycle has been spied in a video which shows the Hero Splendor rider going up to the driver of the Duke 125 test mule and then asking which is the bike undergoing the test. The rider on the test mule assures that he is really driving the KTM Duke 125. Dukeist then says the test mule driver that he is recording a video. There after the test rider is seen zipping through the highway traffic and trying to outrun the Hero Splendor rider. Probably then he would have thought that he has made a mistake by revealing the name of the test motorcycle.
The all new KTM Duke 125 looks similar to the kTM Duke 390 and boroughs the tyres, alloys and the digital screen with Bluetooth from the KTM Duke 390. The KTM Duke 125 is powered by a single cylinder 125 cc engine, which churns out a power of 15 hp and produces a peak torque of 12 Nm. The motorcycle can attain a top speed of 120 kmph. The kerb weight of the bike stands to 148 kgs and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.4 litres. Considering the price of the India based Duke 125, it is less probable for the bike to come featured with dual channel ABS, Metzeler’s digital speed and many other features seen on the fully loaded International spec model.
