Skoda India has finally unwrapped the premium model, Kodiaq Laurin & Klement (L&K) in India. It is a top-specs variant of Kodiaq Style, which is the existing model of the company, priced at Rs 33.83 lakh. The new variant is now available at Rs. 35.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The concept was debuted at 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It has received some new luxurious features along with an attractive designing concept.
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K is exclusively available in Magnetic Brown colour theme which offers an attractive appearance to the vehicle. It is outfitted with a new grille with chrome detailing and tweaked LED headlamps. The rear bumper is also decorated with chrome elements. The company has placed L&K badges on the front fenders. It gets silver roof rails and aluminium door sill scuff plates. It sits on the company’s own 18-inch trinity alloy wheels.
The rear is equally attractive as the front. It is equipped with SUV C-shape LED taillights, larger exhaust pipes and diffuser. Some other revisions include new silver roof rails. Besides the new Magnetic Brown shade, the vehicle is available in five colours: Lava Blue, Quartz Grey, Moon White, and Magic Black. It is developed with high-level safety features including nine airbags, AFS, ABS, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), MBA (Mechanical Brake Assist), MKB (Multi Collision Brake), HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation), and EDS (Electronic Differential Lock).
Inside the cabin, the car gets piano black interior treatment. The dash is integrated with 8-inch capacitive touch display which supports SmartLink+ highlighting SmartGate, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The sets are comfortable and stylish with L&K logo. The interior also features navigation, 360-degree surround area view, hands-free parking, a Virtual Cockpit supporting customizable digital instrument panel, 10-speaker and Canton sound system.
The L&K variant is powered by a 2.0 TDI diesel motor which delivers 148 bhp max power and 340 Nm of peak torque. It is combined with a 7-speed automatic DSG gearbox along with an all-wheel-drive system and electronic control. The new car will It is now available in all Skoda dealerships in India. It rival against the likes of Mitsubishi Outlander.
