The upcoming SUV from Kia Motors is one of the most awaited concepts. The fans are eagerly waiting for the official launch and these sketches have raised the excitement among its enthusiasts. Before the official launch, the car will debut in the country, this summer. Some reports also suggest that the debut can be held on June 20, 2019, in India.
The Korean automotive maker has been spotted testing the SUV many times. Finally, the time has come when the first Kia Motors SUV will hit the Indian roads. According to the latest sketches, the car has received a Tiger Nose based grille along with broad front and classy appearance. The design of the new car looks appealing, but it will be great to see the final production version. The company has already revealed the SP Concept which has attracted many fans with its bold and smooth edges.
Kia SP SUV is designed with attractive headlight and bumper. It will be equipped with LED headlamps along with LED DRL’s and tail-lamps, offered in top-spec variants. The car has also got turn indicators located under the headlamps. It has received a stocky rear bumper with striking faux skid plate and dual exhaust set up. It is integrated with wraparound horizontal tail-light highlighting LED features and chrome finished license plate.
The SP2i SUV is expected to be similar to Hyundai Creta. The car will have an affordable price tag as it is being locally build up at Kia Motors’ facility in Anantpur district, Andhra Pradesh. It can be powered by 1.5-litre petrol and turbocharged diesel, which is not alike the Creta. The engine can be combined with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes also on offer. The sad part is that it will be not coming in an all-wheel drive mode while front-wheel drive will be available as a standard option.
Inside the cabin, Kia SP concept will be integrated with a large touchscreen infotainment system on the dash. It will also come with some top-specs features like a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, in-car WiFi, head-up display, an ambient lighting kit and a fully digital instrument cluster. In terms of safety features, it can get 6 airbags, ABS, traction control, ESP, hill hold, reverse parking camera, cruise control, ISOFIX child seat mounting points and speed alerts.
The new Kia model is expected to be known as Tusker. It will be priced more than Hyundai Creta, but it’s completely worth it. It can be sold at a price range between Rs. 12-16 lakhs. In terms of pricing, it will rival against the likes of the Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Creta.
