Auto Expo 2020: India-spec Kia Seltos X-Line Concept Showcased

Kia Motors has achieved a grand success in compact SUV range by introducing Seltos in India. The bold front, sufficient ground clearance, comfortable cabin, high-level safety features, and exciting variants have attracted the Indian customers. At Auto Expo 2020, the carmaker has showcased a more powerful version of its range, the X-Line Concept. Kia Motors has impressed its fans with 14 products at the event.

The existing Seltos SUV is developed for city rides. However, X Line Concepts focuses on off-roading skills. The all-new Seltos X-Line Trail Attack is a mindblowing concept which will offer magnificent performance for exclusive off-road driving. It received increased ground-clearance which makes it good for driving on rough tracks. It is equipped with tons of features to make it capable for off-road trips.

Auto Expo 2020: India-spec Kia Seltos X-Line Concept Showcased

The concept features an electric all-wheel-drive system and central differential locking, stronger tyres along with custom alloy wheels, roof rack and a new shade. It is equipped with various Hella auxiliary lights along with winch combined in the front bumper. It gets X-Line black-polished grille which makes it sporty flaunted by contrast orange elements on the front bumper and shiny black detailing. It sports a ‘SELTOS’ symbol on the bonnet as well.

For now, the interior of the all-new India-spec Seltos X-Line is not revealed. However, the cabin features and layout of the X-Line Trail Attack and Urban concepts is likely to be the same compared to the standard US-spec Seltos. This showcased model highlights an AWD assembly. The car is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol motor which is capable of making 177PS of max power and 264Nm of peak torque. The engine is combined with a 7-speed DCT automatic assembly.

The existing GT Line variant of the India-specs Seltos is the company’s best-selling model. It runs on a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit which delivers 140PS of power and 242Nm of torque. The company is not expected to bring the off-roading AWD variant of the SUV for the Indian market, although it can feature some powerful customization package. The Seltos price starts from Rs 9.89 lakh to Rs 17.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
