Mr Avinash Acharya has got his hands on the official brochure of the Kia Seltos. So let’s go through all the features colours and variants Kia Seltos has to offer. As we have already revealed you the number of variants Kia Seltos will have, and the different features of each variant in a previous post. This time we will focus on the extra bit revealed in this brochure leak.
First and foremost let’s talk about the colours be- ing offered. The Kia Seltos will be available in 8 monotone colours – Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Punchy Orange, Intelligency Blue, Gravity Grey, Steel Silver and Clear White. While you will also have the option to get 5 dual-tone colour options. The dua colour options are only available for HTX, GTK and GTX variants.
4 alloy options are also on offer in 16″ and 17″ options. You get 16″ steel wheel cover or 16″ hyper metallic alloy. Either you can opt for 17″ inch hyper metallic alloy or 17″ crystal cut alloy. With a total of 8 trims, 5 for the Diesel and 3 for the petrol, the variants are offered with different transmission options according to the variant. Talking about transmission you have four different transmission options including a 6-speed manual, a seven-speed DCT, a six-speed torque converter and an IVT (CVT). So we are pretty sure you’ll find a variant that suits your needs.
Even for the base variant, the Kia Seltos is decently specced. As you can see in the picture that the petrol standard variants get much more features than the diesel base model. This might be a way of trying to get more customers for the petrol variant as people mostly prefer a diesel variant for the SUV. The petrol base variant GTK gets LED DRL, LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy, cruise control, rear AC vents, ABS+EBD and two airbags, cruise control, steering mounted control and tilt and telescopic steering.
The top Diesel variant GTX+ gets, electric sunroof, 8-way power-adjusted driver seat, Ventilated front seats, Bose 8 speaker system, 360-degree camera, Front parking sensors, multi driving modes and wireless charging. It also gets Heads-Up Display, UV cut front glass and Blind-spot monitoring. For the interior seat pattern and colours, you get two options – Black single tone and Black and beige dual-tone colours.
There are 3 types engines on offer. Starting from the diesel engine which is a 1.5-litre unit which makes around 115ps and 250Nm of torque. Two petrol motors, one is a 1.5-litre that makes 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque and the superior 1.4-litre turbo makes 140 hp and 242 Nm of torque. The diesel variant comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed Automatic transmission. While the 1.5 petrol gets mated to a 6-speed manual and CVT transmission and the 1.4-litre petrol gets a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed DCT transmission.
