Kia Motors is all-set the unwrap the all-new compact SUV in India. The launch is scheduled to be held on 20th June. However, the production-ready variant of the upcoming Kia car has been spotted completely uncovered.
The new model will be announced for Indian as well as worldwide market. The latest report has also suggested that the compact SUV can be known as Kia Seltos. It will definitely be a tough competitor for other models in the range.
The company has placed the car between Kia Soul and the Kia Sportage. Kia SP2i has been spotted many times on test however, the new images reveal all about the upcoming beauty. The company has also revealed the model in terms of sketches which is exactly the same in new images. The car has received a stylish look which matches the latest trend. It is designed with blacked out contrasting roof insulated by a metallic frame.
We can see a bold faux metallic skid plate on the bumpers along with a window channel moving to the rear. The headlights and taillights give a premium touch along with vertically slotted foglamp set up. The spied Kia car will be available as an all-wheel-drive model, although, it is not yet clear if the same variant will be launched in India. The cabin is not yet spied, but according to the teasers, it will be luxurious and feature-packed.
The car is expected to get a new wider widescreen similar to the Kia Telluride and K900. In Indian and the global variant will be integrated with larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment in the cabin. The Indian version will highlight piano black panel on the instrument cluster while the international version comes with a stand-alone media set up. It will be offered in grey and silver polish on the central AC vents.
Kia is likely to use a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine to power the Seltos in the Indian market. It will produce around 140 Bhp. The diesel engine unit of the car is expected to be offered in 1.4-litre or 1.6-litre turbocharged motor similar to Create. It will come with manual and automatic transmission choices. The company has also integrated a brand-new eSIM connected technology in the car. It will rival against the likes of Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks in the country. It can be launched at a price tag between Rs 10 -16 lakh.
