Kawasaki has introduced an all-new 2019 Versys 650 in India. In the recent weeks, we got to see many adventure tourer bike range which was just a surprise for all riders. The bike manufacturers seem curious about introducing new top-specs motorcycles. After the launch of Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS and the SWM Superdual T, the automotive market gets another sporty bike variant from Kawasaki. 2019 Versys 650 adventure is available in the Indian market at Rs 6.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Although, the new Versys 650 is not completely different compared to the ongoing variant, in terms of design and technical specs, as well. However, the company has added a new metallic grey variant to the model. The new colour detailing is noticed on the fuel tank highlighting black elements around the chassis. The sportier motorcycle has also received green detailing on the rims, fuel tank, tank extensions and the rear cowl which gives it an appealing presence.
The adventure tourer now comes with a more comfortable slim, upright riding position which will ease your rides. It gets rubber mounts rather than rigid mounts which helps to decrease the vibration at the handlebar, seat and fuel tank. It has the same gear indicator as standard which is present in the ongoing variant. The company has modified the mounting system for the associate panniers which offers a splendid combination. The muffler is arranged beneath the engine which avoids the heat effect on rider and passenger.
The bike is equipped with dual semi-floating 300mm petal discs with front 2 piston callipers and single rear 250 mm petal disc with single piston calliper. It is outfitted with the larger windscreen with a 60 mm range which is flexible and adaptable. Moreover, some additional features include new callipers, updated master cylinder settings, new brake pad element and smaller ABS unit. It now comes with a large-capacity fuel tank of 21 Litres.
The bike is equipped with larger 17” wheels which look bold and striking. The Wheelbase and Ground clearance remains at 1,415 mm and 170 mm, respectively. The bike measures 2,165 x 840 x 1,400 mm (L x W x H). Kawasaki Versys 650 draws power from a 649cc, parallel twin cylinder, liquid cooled engine which deliver 68 bhp power at 8,500 rpm and 64 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm combined with a 6-speed transmission.
