Kawasaki hikes its prices by 7% – w.e.f April 1, 2019

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R deliveries in India commenced

Increasing costs of raw materials and fluctuations in the foreign exchange market are pushing India Kawasaki Motors to hike the prices. It announced an increase in price up to 7 per cent on select models. This will come in to effect from April of 2019.

Kawasaki says they try to keep the price extremely competitive in the Indian market. However, due to the above mentioned reasons, they are compelled to make changes. The new prices will be disclosed on their website on April 1, 2019. The entry level, made in India Ninja 300 is also expected to get a price bump.

Kawasaki recently launched Ninja ZX-6R and also the Versys 1000 at very attractive prices. What is interesting is, the brand recently cut down the prices of many motorcycles by a lot. It even cut the prices of accessories and other parts. Kawasaki also experienced a growth of 67 per cent in the month for Feb 2019 compared to Feb 2018. This increase is mostly due to a lot of aggressive pricing by the company. It will be interesting to see how this new move will affect them.

In other news, a Kawasaki dealer in Mumbai is offering lots of discounts on many models. This includes the likes of the Z900, Z650, Vulcan, Ninja 300, KX 250 and also the KX 450. This is a part of Holi discounts.
