The Jeep Compass Trailhawk Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is yet to be launched in India soon, some time in the month of July of the running year. Prior to that a hydro blue variant is seen testing on the streets without any camouflage with a standard Jeep Compass beside it. Recently the limited edition “Bedrock” has been launched on the occasion of Jeep Compass crossing the 25000 sales number.
Although the launch date is yet unknown,some of the Jeep dealers have started taking the booking for the Trailhawk for Rs. 50000. Red colour recovery hook on the front bumper, underbody skid plates, Trailhawk and Trail Rated badging and new alloy wheels to the Jeep Compass and the black decal Trailhawk badge on the bonnet differentiate the car from the regular Jeep Compass. New revised front and rear bumpers for better off-roading capability, all weather floor mats, Hill Descent Control (HDC) as standard, the company’s signature Active Drive low-range 4WD and a new ‘Rock’ drive mode under the Select-Terrain 4 wheel drive system are some of the features installed in the four wheeler.
The automobile also comes equipped with a 8.4” Uconnect NAV touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interiors look classy in red and black colouring scheme. The Jeep automobile draws power from the 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine which gives the power output of 173 bhp and the maximum torque of 350 Nm. A nine speed automatic transmission system will be mated to the engine, which will be the first of its kind for a diesel variant. The car is expected to a bear a price tag of Rs. 24 lakhs. The car has a ground clearance of 225 mm. It is also seen as a tough competition for the Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan.
