The Jeep Compass has been on of the most popular SUVs in the Indian market but recently over a last few months, the sales of the Compass has seen a slight dip. Therefore to the company hopes to boost the sales with the introduction of the new Jeep Compass Limited Plus in the Indian market. The new Jeep Compass Limited Plus will be launched in the country during Dusshera October 19, 2018.  At present the company retails 10 variants available in two engine and two gear box options.

The Jeep Compass Limited Plus will be positioned above the current Limited 4×4[O] trim and is to be priced at least Rs 1.5 lakh more than the current top spec Limited [O] trim, which is priced at Rs 21.94 lakh [ex showroom – Delhi]. The Compass Limited Plus will be available in both petrol and diesel powering options. Therefore the Jeep Compass Limited Plus petrol powered variant is likely to carry a price tag of Rs 22 Lakh while the diesel 4×4 MT variant is likely to be priced at Rs 21.5 lakh and 4×4 diesel variant at Rs 23.5 lakh. All the fore mentioned prices are ex showroom Delhi price.

The Jeep Compass Limited Plus will come with sunroof option and this will help in enhancing the sales of the company as now the buyers can no more complain about the missing sunroof, which was already offered to the small and affordable SUV from Hyundai and Mahindra. Besides the sunroof the Jeep Compass Limited Plus comes with other additional features like a larger 8.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system and power adjustable front driver and passenger seats. Rain sensing wipers and dual frontal and side curtain airbags are offered on the Jeep Compass Limited Plus as standard. The new Limited Plus sits on 18 inch dual tone wheels.

The Jeep Compass Limited Plus will be powered by the same 2.0 litre diesel engine, which churns out a power of 171 PS and produces a peak torque of 350 Nm. This engine gets matted to a six speed manual transmission. The other engine option is the 1.4 litre petrol engine, producing a power of 160 PS and 250 Nm torque. A seven speed automatic gearbox comes matted to the engine. When launched, the Jeep Compass Limited Plus will compete on the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and the Hyundai Creta.
