Jawa launched the Jawa 42 back in November 2018. Now a digital artist has created his version of an off-road ready scrambler Jawa 42. This digital renders sports many changes to better adapt to more rugged terrain.
The artist starts by replacing the traditional rims and tires with off-road ready knobby tires and also spoked rims. The front fender is also raised higher to provide more ground clearance. The suspension is also swapped to have a longer travel. We can also see a guard on the headlights to help the motorcycle tackle rough terrains without any damage.
The rear end is also completely altered. We can see different shocks and the rear fender is entirely eliminated. The seat also gets a tad shorter to better suit the overall design. The artist also pays attention to minor details like adding a bash plate for the engine. Since scramblers are off-road ready motorcycles, this bash plate helps in preventing major damages to the engine. He also adds a rubber pad on the fuel tank which further elevates the design.
The finished product looks great and is practical too. It can be achieved with minimal effort and resources. This is where the artist gets kudos from us. You can watch the video of the entire process below.
The Jawa 42 runs on a 293cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This motor produces 27bhp and 28Nm of torque. Also, it comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. Read more here.
