Japanese manufacturer Isuzu is reportedly prepping to launch the 2018 face lift of the Isuzu MU-X in India. It will make its way in October 2018. It has already been spotted testing on Indian roads many times.
The MU-X is a seven-seater SUV that arrived in India last year but failed to gain traction in the Indian market. This is mainly because its competitors are the crowd favorite Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour.
The new MU-X will take on the Toyota Fortuner. The new face lift features many visual changes. It includes a new front bumper, LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs. The rear also gets a new bumper and LED tail cluster. It will also sport bigger, 18-inch alloy wheels. On the interior, the new MU-X will see a redesigned dashboard. The centrally placed touch screen infotainment unit is the new focus of attention. It also gets automatic climate control to top it off. It will run on a 4×4 system. The current 3.0-liter engine will be discontinued as it does not pass BS6 emission norms.

Under the hood, the car will feature a brand new motor. This is a new 1.9-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. It produces a maximum power of 148bhp and a peak torque of 350Nm. A 6-speed gearbox makes up the transmission system.
Globally, the 2018 MU-X face lift is already on sale in Thailand, China and other neighboring countries. India launch is expected to happen soon. With all the new updates and features on offer, the price will definitely take a hit. The price for the new face lift MU-X will be around INR 25lakh.
