Hyundai Motor India has successfully sold over 1 lakh Venue since its launch. It is the first connected SUV model of the company, that has achieved the sales margin. The company has delivered about 97,400 units of the Venue in India and above 7,400 units globally. The Indian market has seen huge demand for the highly-competitive SUV range. The Venue has tough rivals like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Ford EcoSport in the country.
The company has revealed the reports for its domestic and export sales only. So, the worldwide sales of the Venue must be much impressive. More interestingly, approx 30 per cent of the total sales are reported for the top-specs variant of Venue which features Hyundai BlueLink Connected technology. About 44 per cent of total sales determined the 1.0-litre turbo petrol trim while 15,000 units were turbo petrol combined with the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission were delivered.
Further, the company has recorded 30 per cent of the total sales for Venue’s 1.5-litre diesel version in March-June 2020. The bold and stylish appearance of the Venue has made the SUV successful. It is an impressive combination of good looks, safety, performance, and technology. The exterior of the Venue is flaunted by the company’s new signature design platform.
At the front, it gets Dark Chrome grille along with smooth lines running over the exterior. From the side, it is fitted with alloy wheels which offers a premium touch. Moving to the back, we can notice the equally luxurious appearance with the badge. The SUV is powered by a 998cc turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 118 BHP power at 6,000rpm and 172 Nm of torque between 2,500-4,000 rpm.
The petrol engine is combined with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Venue is also available in a 1.2-litre petrol engine that delivers 82 BHP of max power at 6,000rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm, combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company also offers 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit, making 99 BHP of power at 4,000rpm and 240 Nm torque between 1,500-2,750 rpm, combined with a 6-speed manual.
