The Hyundai Venue, the top-selling compact SUV has reached a record with a remarkable sales mark. The vehicle has a huge demand in the Indian market and in the last five months, the sales crossed over 42,000 units. The compact-SUV range has been best-selling especially in the last months. From May to September 2019, Hyundai India delivered 42,681 units of the popular Venue.
The company also claimed that the vehicle got more than 75,000 bookings for the model. The all-new Venue has two top-specs variants: SX DCT and the top-end SX(O). According to the company, the top-specs variants have 50 per cent more demand and the reason can be the BlueLink connected car technology. The Venue is a feature-packed Hyundai car which is a great blend of technology and design.
The all-new Venue is offered in three powerful powertrain options which have attracted the Indian customers. In the first two months after launch, the model received an amazing sales figure which is still consistent. The company SUV also succeded the sales record of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza which has a uniform record in past. It will be interesting to observe the figures after the launch of the Venue’s upcoming competitor, Kia connected SUV.
The compact SUV is offered in 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit that makes 120bhp of power combined with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT gearbox transmission. It also comes with a 1.2-litre petrol unit based on Elite i20, making 82bhp power and 115Nm of peak torque combined with a five-speed manual gearbox. It is also available with a 1.4-litre diesel unit based on the Creta SUV which delivers 89bhp peak power and 220Nm of peak torque combined with a six-speed manual transmission.
The Hyundai sold 7,942 units of Venue last month. They sold 45,000 units in 5 months that is a proportion of about 8,000 units per month. In terms of safety, Venue is integrated with six airbags, speed sensing auto door unlocks, ESC/ESP & (Vehicle Stability Management), HAC (Hill Assist Control), BAS (Brake Assist System) and ISOFIX mounts. It competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and the Tata Nexon in India.
