Hyundai: The South Korean automotive manufacturer, Hyundai has got a big reason for celebration. Being the second-largest automotive company, they have completed total 19 years and 6 months in India. The auto-giant has reported that they have completed the sales of about 80 lakh unit in the country and they are still figuring. The 8 millionth model produced by the company was the recently launched, 2018 Creta facelift. The 80 lakh figure was reported before the release of the latest model which was delivered from its factory located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Hyundai has completed the 20 years in the country successfully. They have always been looking forward to introducing latest concepts and designs in the market. Thier stylish and exceptional cars are always hit worldwide. They have produced many outstanding vehicles which are liked and appreciated all over the world. Calculating from the beginning, the South Korean company has delivered more than 5,300,967 units in India and about 2,703,581 units worldwide.
Hyundai rolled out its first Million car, SANTRO, in 2006, just 8 years after commencement of commercial production in 1998. Thereafter, production picked up momentum, with the next million milestones being achieved within an average of 18 -19 months. Hyundai’s consistent focus towards delivering the World-Class quality of its ‘Modern Premium’ products led to highest-ever domestic sales of 5,36,241 units – a growth of 5.2% in Financial Year 17-18.

In the year 2006, the firm delivered 10 lakh units and reported 20 lakh record in 2008. Likewise, they produced 30 lakh unit in 2010, 40 lakh unit in 2012. In 2013, they claimed to pass 50 lakh breakthrough, 60 lakh in 2015 following 70 lakh units next year, and 80 lakh in this year. The successful Indian models of the companies include Eon, Grand i10, Elite i20 and i20 Active, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, all-new Creta, and Tucson. As per the latest reports, the company will soon uncover the 2018 Santro. Now, the company aims at reaching sales of about 10 Million Units by the starting of 2021.
