The Hyundai Palisade SUV breaks cover at the L.A Auto Show, in California. It is the largest SUV offered from Hyundai and is considered as a mid sized SUV. Hyundai has designed the 2019 Palisade SUV to satisfy the buyers who might have passed on the Santa Fe XL because of its small size among other mid sized SUVs. The Hyundai Palisade SUV draws design clues from the latest Santa Fe but has its own unique look with a big face. The Palisade shares its underpinnings with the Kia Telluride. The Palisade SUV measures more than five metres in length. The car features slim headlamps, a little squintier day time running lights and a large grille. The side profile of the Palisade is somewhat similar to the Santa Fe, however, changes are made behind the C pillar to make the cabin more spacious in order to accommodate eight people.
The interior of the Hyundai Palisade SUV is premium and spacious. The cabin features a 10.25 inch infotainment system and a 12.3 inch fully digital display instrument cluster. Two Bluetooth devices can be connected at the same time. The driver assistance features are provided as standard incorporating the lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. The in car intercom system in the Palisade enables the passengers to communicate to the second and third row at once or independently. The rear sleep mode allows the rear passenger to sleep by balancing the audio fader so that only the front speakers emit the sounds. The other interior features include the heads up display, wireless charger, rear occupant alert system, Clari-Fi audio system, seven USB outlets and 16 cupholders.
Powering the Hyundai Palisade SUV is the 3.8 litre V6 engine, which runs on the Atkinson cycle. The engine churns out a power of 291 hp and a peak torque of 262 pound feet. An eight speed automatic transmission will come coupled to the engine. The 2019 Palisade SUV will get the front wheel drive as standard while the Hyundai’s HTRAC all wheel drive system. When launched, the Hyundai Palisade SUV will rival with the Ford Explorer, Subaru Ascent and Honda Pilot.
