Hyundai Kona was launched last month and it was a very special car for Hyundai and even the market. It provided a great feature, long-range better-charging options with all of this at a reasonable price. So when it came to the delivery of the Hyundai Kona one of the dealers named SAS Hyundai gave the delivery experience a special touch.
SAS Hyundai arranged a full-on dance show from the staff of the showroom to various Bollywood songs. As you can see in the video there was a proper lighting show and the staff dancing in front of the covered Kona. While the customer sat and enjoyed the show.
The dealer said “SAS Hyundai does everything in Style!” and that stands true because this is a great and different way to deliver the vehicle. At the end of the video, the owner of the Konda electric SUV is called upon and handed the key while the dance continues.
Kona is Hyundai first-ever all-electric vehicle In India. The name KONA is inspired by the idyllic west-coast region of the Big Island of Hawaii. The exterior is typical Hyundai, it gets bi function LED headlamps, LED DRLs, sporty roof rails, rear skid plate and rear spoiler with HMSL. The front grille also houses the charging port of the KONA.
The important part of any electric vehicle is the battery, performance figures and the range. Kona gets a 39kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 452Km (ARAI certified). The WLTP range for the same setup is 289 km. Hyundai also gives 8years/1,60,000km warranty on the battery itself, that gives you peace of mind. Not only this battery offers good range but great performance figures too. 136 ps of power, 395 Nm of torque. 0-100 comes in at just 9.7 seconds.
Hyundai claims that the KONA will e relatively cheap to run than an equivalent conventional engine car. With maintenance cost of around Rs 8000/annum. The per kilometre running cost is about 90 paise, which is very cheap than a regular car. It also comes loaded with features such as leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, steering mounted controls. Furthermore, it gets a 17.77 cm touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, Radio, USB and AUX. Hyundai has offered a host of safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, HAC, rear camera with guideline, all-disc brakes, tire pressure monitoring system and virtual engine sound system on the KONA Electric.
You get different charging options including quick charge solutions. Fast charging can charge up to 80 per cent in just 57 minutes through the DC Quick Charger CCS Type 2. A 7.2kW AC Wall box charger will take 6 hours and 10 minutes to fully charge and also a portable charger which will take 19 hours to fully charge the KONA.
The Hyundai KONA Electric SUV sits on 17 inches alloy wheel with 215/55R17 tires. The car is priced at Rs 25,30,000. It has no competition as of right now in the range.
