The next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 has been spied several times and it indicates that the company is getting ready to reveal the vehicle soon. The new gen model is expected to hit the Indian automotive market by June, next year. Hyundai Motors has recently declared that they will release 8 new models by 2020. The models will also include 5 new generation cars and one will be the all-new Grand i10.
The upcoming Grand i10 has been again spotted testing and this time its revealed in a video. The spy video reveals the cabin of the vehicle which is for the first time. The exterior and interior of the upcoming vehicle will be completely updated and new compared to existing models. It seems that the next-gen model will be based on the top-specs i30.
The vehicle is spotted with new projector headlamps highlighting LED DRLs and blinkers on mirrors. It has also received a modified rear section with new tail lights. It is outfitted with all-new 15” diamond cut alloy wheels. The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will be broader compared to the previous variant which results in a spacious cabin and more passenger legroom.
The cabin has received a new larger instrument cluster based on i20 featuring a tachometer on left and speedometer on right. The display is integrated at the centre of the dash which will also support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity options including mirror link. The touchscreen infotainment system is placed high on the dash which is also seen in the i30.
Moreover, the interior features AC controls, USB charging ports, climate control, speedometer and engine temperature and range indicator. The previous reports claim that the vehicle could also feature a cooled glove box and sub-roof. The Grand i10 will be equipped with high-level safety features like ABS, EBD, auto sensing wipers, cruise control, automatic headlamps and dual front airbags.
The Grand i10 could be powered by a 1.2 L Kappa and 1.2 L CRDi motors, however, the engines will be developed to satisfy the new BSVI emission norms. It is also expected to come with an AMT transmission and 5-speed manual gearbox on option. The hatchback could get a price tag between Rs 5.5 lakhs-8 lakhs. After the launch, it will rival against the likes of Maruti Swift, VW Polo and Ford Figo, Tata Tiago and Maruti Celerio in India.
