Hyundai is all-set the introduce the latest Santro in the automotive market on October 23, this year. As per latest reports, the company will also release the next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 in India next year in the month of October. The company has already started testing the future car on road. The reports also claim that the new Grand i10 was spotted testing beside another latest Hyundai model which is called the QXi code-named sub-4 meter compact SUV.
At present, the company manufacturers two different variants with distinct features in India and in the international market, but the next-gen car is expected to remain the same for all the countries. The on-going Indian Grand i10 is spacious compared to the international variant. So, the company is expected to deliver the spacious version globally next year. The main aim for introducing the next-gen i10 is to increase the interior space and make the seats comfortable.
The design of the latest 2019 Grand i10 is expected to based on the forthcoming Hyundai Elantra facelift. It will be equipped with a new hexagonal front grille and broader headlamps and rear tail-lamps. The car is expected to get an advanced exterior appearance which will keep up the latest trend in the automotive market. are two of the exterior design features expected on the hatchback. The ground clearance and the wheels will be also revised in the new variant.
In terms of interior features, the car will be integrated with a latest touchscreen infotainment console which will the highlight of the dashboard supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. The company will also upgrade the safety features with ABS as standard, twin airbags, reverse parking sensors, speed warning alert and seatbelt reminder alert as standard. It will also get a sunroof and slender upwards bumper.
The next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 is rumored to be powered by 1.2-litre petrol and diesel motors. The petrol engine will generate 82bhp power and 113Nm of torque whereas the diesel motor can deliver 74bhp power and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines will be combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the torque converter automatic gearbox which can be displaced by a distinct powerful AMT gearbox. It is expected to get a price tag between Rs 5-7 lakh (ex-showroom). The car will lock horns against the likes of Maruti Swift.
