Hyundai Elite i20: Recently, Hyundai introduced its latest Elite i20 face lift at the Auto Expo 2018. The Hyundai Elite i20 has got a price-tag of INR 5.35 lakh and reaches Rs 9.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is the leading face lift since the car was introduced after the launch in 2014. The latest variant has not received lots of updates. However, the company has worked hard to give it technological advancements. The price of the car is worth it as per the latest upgradations. The company has a good reputation in the Indian car market, but let’s see whether the Elite i20 will keep the same rank or not.
The exterior of the Hyundai Elite i20 is same as the previous model. Nevertheless, some of the features are different which will make it an individual car. In the front, the 2018 variant receives a renewed bumper which is the company’s trademark ‘cascading’ hexagonal grille. The car manufacturer has also updated the fog lamp housings and the vehicle has arranged operative vents for high-grade aerodynamics. The halogen projector headlamps along with LED DRL are the same. The rear layout of the car is much different from the 2014 model. It is equipped with bigger tail lamps including renewed graphics which simulate LED components witnessed on the high-end cars.
Moreover, the number plate is shifted from the bumper to the tailgate which will get you feel of the standard hatchback. The rear bumper is shaded with matte black cladding which makes the car look classy and fashionable. The side of the car is somewhat similar to the last model. However, the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels are really impressive. Hyundai has used 14-inch and 15-inch wheels on its other models. The tremendous Elite i20 face lift car is available in the dual-shades exterior paint alternatives black roof with red shades, orange and white exterior. Nevertheless, it is accessible just in the Asta alternative.
Hyundai Elite i20 has got the same cabin space and design compared to the present model. Hyundai has used the identical 1.2-litre Dual VTVT Kappa petrol and the 1.4-litre U2 CRDI diesel engines. The engine produces 83PS of power and 115Nm of torque and the diesel engine 90PS and 220Nm. It offers 5-speed manual gearbox and the diesel variant features a 6-speed system. It will offer 19.0 kmpl and 22.4 kmpl mileage on the petrol engine and diesel engine, respectively. For now, the car is prepared just with a standard gearbox while the company has stopped the 1.4-litre petrol engine, that evolved particularly with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car manufacturer can officially launch the 1.2-litre petrol engine with a CVT gearbox in the month of May this year.
The Hyundai Elite i20 will be rolled out in five versions Era, Magna Executive, Sportz, Asta and Asta(O). The Era is equipped with central locking, roof antenna, power steering, manual AC and wing mirrors. The high-end Asta (O) alternative is developed with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and many high-end features. Once released the latest car will lock horns with Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Honda Jazz which are developed with CVT gearbox in the petrol model.
