Hyundai Elantra facelift has been officially revealed in Malaysia. The facelifted version is exclusively developed for the ASEAN markets. It has received many exciting cosmetic tweaks which makes it different from the previous version. It looks different from the LHD (left-hand-drive) version which was introduced in 2018. The company has designed to car keeping in mind the preference of Indian fans which makes it more attractive and lavish. The facelifted version of Elantra can hit the Indian market in the month of July.
In order to attract the customers of ASEAN markets, the South Korean automotive maker has added a new chrome accent on the front fascia of the car. Compared to the international version, the alloy wheel also looks different and modified. From the front, the car has got a striking and sharp look. It is outfitted with good-looking triangular LED headlamps and all-new extended Cascade grille. The company has also redesigned the front bumper, tail lights, boot lid and fog lamps. It also features LED lightening.
Moving inside the cabin, we notice a newly installed steering wheel, newly designed gauges, aircon vents highlighting chrome assents and new climate control buttons arrangement. The cabin is integrated with the latest infotainment system featuring wireless phone charging and manual AC. The Indian variant can also come with the latest BlueLink connectivity solution that will be introduced at Hyundai Venue.
In terms of safety, the car comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD and vehicle stability control. The engine specs of the updated Hyundai Elantra remains unchanged. It will come with the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine and 1.6-litre diesel engine which will make 152 PS/ 192 Nm and 128 PS/ 260 Nm, respectively. There are two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic versions. It will rival against Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Skoda Octavia.
