Honda X-Blade 160: Honda Motorcycles and scooters, keeping its words has finally announced the price of Honda X-Blade at INR 78,500 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). As said by the manufacturer the price has been kept below INR 79,000. The Honda X-Blade was initially showcased at 2018 Auto Expo and after huge response from the customers the Japanese giant had decided to announce its launch. And now, the deliveries have been commenced for the X-Blade 160.
The X Blade has been placed between the CB Hornet 160R and CB Unicorn 160 under 160 CC commuter segment. The Honda X-Blade comes with segment first features like all-LED headlamp with sharp edgy profile which Honda terms as “Robo-face”, the design of the bike is quite different from the ones out there. The profile of the bike is much sharper which is very impressive. The Bike also feature a twin-outlet muffler which is good, but could have been better.
The Honda X-Blade is powered with same tried and tested engine from its siblings with Air Cooled, 4 Stroke, 162.71 CC which generates 13.93HP @8500 rpm with max 13.9 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm mated with a 5Speed gearbox. However its elder sibling CB Hornet 160R has comparatively higher numbers with 15hp @ 8500 rpm with max 14.76Nm of torque. Well this is something which we couldn’t digest as why the output was reduced while using the same engine.
The suspension with carries by a telescopic suspension at the front and a Mono-Shock at the rear. The braking duties are performed by a 276mm Disc at the front and a 130mm Drum at the rear. However, the X-Blade missed the rear disc brake option and features like CBS (Combined Braking System) and ABS (Anti-Braking System). The X-Blade comes with 80/100-17 and 130/70-17 at the front and rear respectively. The bike will be available in 5 shades – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Frozen Silver, Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Marshal Green Metallic.
The Bike has all new design language and has appealing presence. Honda Bikes are always a refined one and you can feel it on the go. In case you are planning and need a bike with new appealing design and road presence, you must go for it without a second thought. X-Blade will give some serious uphill battle to its rival like Yamaha FZ-S, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Suzuki Gixxer, Hero Xtreme Sports and the upcoming all new TVS Apache RTR 160.
